SPACE PLANNING GUIDE

Reception Space Planning

To create a comfortable and professional reception area, we recommend allowing sufficient space around your reception desk for both staff and visitors.

Recommended Clearance

• Behind the desk: 90–100 cm for chair movement and daily working space.

• In front of the desk: 120–150 cm to provide a comfortable visitor area and clear customer flow.

• Each side: 80–100 cm to allow easy access and prevent the reception area from feeling cramped.

Before You Order

✓ Measure your available reception space.

✓ Check door openings and main walkways.

✓ Ensure drawers and chairs can move freely.

✓ Confirm the delivery route, including doorways, staircases, and lifts if required.

Helpful Tip

These recommendations are general planning guidelines. The ideal layout may vary depending on your room size, visitor traffic, and office configuration.

FAQ

How do I choose the right reception desk?

Choosing the right reception desk requires considering your available space, staff needs, storage requirements, and overall interior style. The ideal design should balance functionality, appearance, and daily operational efficiency.

Can I customise the size, colour or add my logo?

Yes. We offer custom sizes, colours and logo options. Please contact us before ordering with your preferred dimensions, colour and logo artwork so we can confirm availability, pricing and the estimated lead time.

Does delivery include carrying the desk inside or upstairs?

Our standard delivery service is kerbside or ground-floor delivery. If your delivery location is on the ground floor, the delivery team can place the package in your designated location, provided access is suitable and you are present to receive it. Delivery upstairs is not included in the standard service.
